It’s the ultimate irony! Our Signature Cupcakes are so big they’re like a small cake, hence the name. (even more ironic when you consider our mini cupcakes) We focus on big flavors and even bigger portions to make sure every "Smallcake" is a Big Moment.

No! While we carry the Smallcakes name, we are an independently owned and operated licensed bakery. Because we aren't a corporate chain, we have the unique freedom to bake using our own recipes and offer a menu specifically for our Glynn County community. When you shop with us, you are directly supporting a local family business.

Absolutely not. Unlike many grocery store bakeries that pull mass-produced cakes, that were baked 3 months ago in a factory, out of a freezer, everything we sell is baked fresh right here in our St. Simons kitchen. We don't use massive industrial mixers or even electric mixers; we mix our batches every single morning with a whisk to ensure the best texture and quality.

We feature 16+ signature Jumbo flavors every single day on our stands, ranging from the classics like Red Velvet to our rotating specialty flavors, as well as 14+ signature Mini cupcake flavors.

Our PUPcakes are a favorite for your best ‘fren!’ They are a specialized carrot cupcake topped with a peanut butter buttercream frosting and a Milk Bone dog treat garnish. (Not for human consumption due to dog treat)

We serve a rotating selection of Premium Hand-Dipped Hershey’s® Ice Cream. It’s the perfect, creamy companion to our jumbo cupcakes! Yes! However, for the best experience and value, we always recommend ordering delivery directly through our website. Here is why we encourage ordering direct:
Support Local, Not Apps: Third-party apps like DoorDash and Uber Eats, huge multibillion dollar corporations, charge local businesses high commission fees. Because we refuse to let these apps eat into the quality of our ingredients, we have to increase our prices on those platforms to cover their high costs.
Fair Pricing: By ordering directly from us, you get our standard in-store pricing and avoid the corporate "upcharge" required by the big apps.
Sweet Rewards: You only earn Smallcakes SSI Rewards toward free treats when you order through our official site.
For large catering orders or special events, we may be able to arrange delivery depending on our current baking schedule. Because we are a small team, these requests require sufficient lead time to coordinate. Please contact us via our website to discuss the possibilities for your event!

As a small family-run business, we love supporting our Glynn County community, but we have a finite monthly budget for donations. To keep our records organized, all requests must be submitted through the contact form on our website at least 30 days in advance. We cannot process or approve donation requests at the counter during business hours.

Our Gluten-Sensitive Jumbo cupcakes are bare because these are frosted upon purchase! Choose your own Gluten Free frosting to pair with your cupcake for a unique flavor.

We use the term Gluten-Sensitive because we are not a certified gluten-free facility. While we use high-quality gluten-free ingredients for these recipes, we do work in a kitchen where gluten is present. We want our customers to have the full picture so they can make an informed choice.

Absolutely! While we only keep Jumbos on the stand daily, you can pre-order our Gluten-Sensitive cupcakes in Mini or Jumbo sizes to fit any event or gathering.

Because we operate in a shared kitchen, cross-contamination is a possibility. We do not recommend our products for those with severe gluten allergies or Celiac disease. However, we do have many regular customers with gluten sensitivities and even Celiac disease who enjoy our cupcakes without issue—we simply ask that you use your best judgment based on your sensitivity level.

We bake our infamously delicious Gluten-Sensitive jumbos fresh every day! We typically have at least one or two rotating flavors (vanilla is usually always a staple) available on the stand daily. Our decadent Macarons are naturally Gluten-Sensitive as they are made with almond flour! They are available for pre-order in a variety of flavors and are a great option for those avoiding gluten.

While the texture is different, many say our Gluten-Sensitive cupcakes are even more tasty than our regular (gluten) cupcakes! We’ve worked hard on our proprietary recipes to ensure the texture is just as moist and the flavor just as gourmet as our signature lineup.

Like all our baked goods, these are best enjoyed the day they are baked. If you’re saving them for later, keep them at room temperature in their box. We don’t recommend refrigerating them, as it can dry out the cake.

Before we begin preparing our Gluten-Sensitive recipes, we thoroughly clean and sanitize all equipment and surfaces. While we do not use "dedicated" gluten-free-only equipment, we take care to ensure everything is fresh and ready for these specific batches.

No. All of our recipes—including our gluten-sensitive ones—contain dairy and/or eggs. We do not offer any dairy-free or vegan products at this time.
